Hello Agents,

It's been about a week since I applied but I thought I might take some time to make an intro post.

I'm 22 and I live in Anaheim, CA. (going to move a bit  I got my B.S. in physics from UC Irvine last year and I'm working at a calibration lab doing engineer stuff. (building sentries and teles obviously)

I like TF2 because of it's emphasis on teamwork and also because of how well balanced it is. It's also one of few FPS games that don't make me dizzy after half an hour. Win-win. My main class is soldier for now and I'm trying to learn how to be a better demo (those pipes are a cruel and unpredictable mistress). I'll switch to medic or engie if the team needs it or if my hand-eye coordination for the day is off for many reasons. I really don't do well as sniper or spy so you probably won't see my name behind those classes very often. My favorite maps are badwater and swiftwater (which I think does not get enough playtime) and I'm also quite partial to cp_steel.

Here's what I'm playing on (because I know someone will be interested)

Intel Core 2 Duo E7200, 2 GB OCZ DDR2 RAM, Asus P5KPL-CM mobo, EVGA GTX 275.

I guess I'll see you guys in-game and in TS. I leave you with this parting gift.

Glad to meet you all.

What up Dansu!?! Even though Demo is one of my best classes I still have trouble with the pipe grenades. With my experience, aiming slightly to the right of my opponent seems to hit most of the time. "Whipping the shot" (jerking the mouse in the direction of where you are firing can be an art-form. I have done this as a spy and approaching your enemy by the side only to whip my wrist around to backstab. The majority of the time they see this as a facestab when you clearly saw it as a side or backstab. Much like using the Huntsman and aiming higher than where the reticle pinpoints... you just have to find your equal ground with it.

Dansu, I'm happy for you and Ima let you finish, but gorMAN had one of the best intro posts of all time.

And can you do me a favor before you leave Anaslime and punch Ryan Getzlaf in the face and tell the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim that I think their name is retarded.

yeah.. I ususally run out of ammo and then am swiftly met with a scout's bat to the face. I also do this move a lot; where I sneakily lay down some stickies in effort to bait someone to their doom but instead just blow myself up because I set them off too soon.

That's awesome. Do you have a specialization? I specialized in computational physics. It consisted basically of some numerical analysis and some comp sci java programming courses.
