***UPDATE***

so i finally got an answer today about being banned from ATF's 'One Hump or Two' CS:S server. ATF_Malicious says,

"I don't see a note in our ban folder but considering your game name we don't welcome Agent players on our server period."

so there you have it. i guess the issue is closed and the message is clear to me now. we are not welcome. whether this is exclusively their CS:S divisions stand, or a clan-wide policy i dont know. anyway, its too bad.

Wow. From his answer, ATF_Malicious makes me believe he's an unthinking browneye. A decision based on a name, "John" and "Agent" tags reflects poorly on him (and Management that would allow that to happen).   He couldn't possibly have a reason to ban John beyond mere association.

Like us, ATF is a collection of individuals. I would still encourage you to treat the REST of ATF as any other pubbers (at least until an individual shows us that he or she doesn't deserve it). OTOH, ATF_TTM, has been just fine on our TF2 server each time I've seen him on, and I have had no trouble at all on ATFs TF2 server, so I'm fairly certain this is not clan-wide, but the decision of one, or perhaps a small pathetic handful, of butt-hurt individuals.

i was afraid this might be CSS standard on this. Even if they wanted to adjust it, if they saw these reponses i am sure it would only increase their dislike for SAC. This is not the way to promote a change actually. Most of the guys in CSS are fully aware of the past issues between us and i like others can not forgive some people here. However i am not going to base an entire clan on those few individuals. However i did forward your message to Askull who runs the divie and he ultimately makes the call. But...i do hope he doesnt read this thread as he will probably base his decision on this. Why would he change when he sees the same attitude he is trying to prevent from the server right here?

John...no it is not clan wide. I do not know how many divisions feel this way, but CS does not. I can attempt to find out what games are open for you all and post it. You just have to remember that like AI...who we tried to get a clan wide ban on before, and obviously now can, some divies feel equally about this clan. Some times we all dont agree.

Good to see you, would have liked it to be on better terms. Also, Mountain Dew is the man, promote him.

Hope Ripper is still kicking around, and that I can get unbanned from the TF2 server.

Cheers,
Hurricane

If he reads this, he'd have to consider that people who've acted respectfully have gotten our full respect, and those that haven't didn't. We've pretty much shown here that we judge by actions and not by association. That's what we value in recruits and officers. That's what I've come to expect.

Why would you want to prevent that attitude on a server? Seems to me that an attitude willing to kick asshats, AND have fun with reasonably minded people would be a win/win, and that an attitude of unyielding prejudice would be something to avoid. By starting this thread, you've shown evidence you value my former example. The bans based soley on association (or their lifting) will speak louder on that score for your CSS folks than any words posted in here.

Besides, since you seem to agree it's an unreasonable stance and you don't sound too regretful, how could they hold a grudge with us any more than with you? So, you'll be in good company no matter what.

ah yes all the guys are doing fine. Everyones same old same old

Well im tracking down some stuff on which divies do what. Just because i do not believe there should be a clan wide ban means little in the grand scheme of things. I can only assert authority over my own division. Currently i am attempting to discuss this with some folks, at least how they deal with the ruling if they hold to it. I am not sure what will become of it all but even if things dont iron out now i am sure this is but a step in repairing lost trust between us and things can always change down the line.

John....Askull has responded to you in the public forums and it seems some things have happened i was not aware of. It is unfortunate that this has occured but i can see why it would happen as i am sure that you guys would do the same in this situation. CS only had trouble from a few Agents directly after the split and we did ban off the bat back then but then reopened the server and have had no issues. Apperntly CSS was not so lucky when doing the same thing.

i guess anything is possible with what all has happened. I dont know if Skully is willing to fool with it and it does seem a shame a few screwed it up for everyone.

ok as i find out more info it doesnt seem appropriate to put it all here. Who should i talk to regarding specific members and their actions? Seems to predominately be CSS and TF2 issues.

i lawl at the fact that ppl hold such deep rooted grudges over games

i know that personally i got banned from the atf css server with a "he is from agent... ban him" (mind you this was a while back... i dont remember or care who it was)

seems to me like this ideology cant be helpful in repairing a silly rift between 2 giant groups of homos

so my question is this...

if i head over to the atf tf2 server at some point... am i going to get banned just because i have my tags on?

we're finalizing things now. This has all brought about interesting discussion as of late. I will post the list of where you guys can go and all the details shortly. I think people holding grudges is definately the minority at this point.

yeah when I was banned on the CSS server it wasn't until some 007(atf equivalent) banned me a bunch of lower officers 003/4 (what ever the ATF equivalents are) didn't seem to give a rats ass about me and few other agents.
