Charles Dana Gibson challenged Charley Connolly, the bartender of the Players Club in New York City, to improve upon the martini's recipe, so Connolly simply substituted 2 onions for the olive and named the drink after the patron.

The Gibson is the first important step in perfecting the martini. The second step is using Plymouth gin and the third is replacing the vermouth with Lillet Blanc. Stirred NOT shaken.

Ruh roh, you got Q started up on the 5th dimension now. Only cure for that is the slap on the butt and a giant gummy bear.

You wish you were sweet, chewy, and on the end of a stick...

Not enough flavors in one gummi bear. Also, I have to imagine it'd get all slimy while you're eating it. I'd rather just have some of these:

Made in Germany; you know the Germans always make good stuff.

Well... I don't like olives or onions, but I'd prefer an olive in my drink than an onion. It just sounds... wrong.

And Q, that photo is hot, I just wish it was a better flavor of gummi bear, you know? Loki feels the same way, he just can't express that.

Wow. so much for my simple intro post...

onions and olives both have their place, next to the piles of meat and cheese. pepper/-shrooms/etc. the more toppings the better.

cream pea and pearl onion soup is delicious

i'm not going anywhere near the gummy topic.

Of this, I am well aware. The French already have their Fast-Passes.
However, there is a difference between neutrality, and refusing to enter a discussion. I may have an opinion, and not voice it, if I feel the discussion and/or my contribution do not merit my time.

As for last night, I can - and do - trash talk, but not on open mic. Trash-talking only makes the speaker feel better about themselves when they would otherwise feel weak or the coward; there's no reason for me to voice those comments.
